About Early Intervention
The Montgomery County Early Intervention Services (EI) is an entitlement service designed to meet the developmental needs of infants and children from birth to three years of age. Early Intervention helps a family learn new ways to encourage their child to develop new skills. Services are available free of charge to a family.

Services may include:
  • Screening and Evaluation
  • Specialized Teaching
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech and Language Therapy
  • Vision and Hearing Services
  • Follow-up Services
  • Assistive Technology
  • Service Coordination
Services can be provided in the home, school, community, or child care centers.
